Country:
    The club is located in Genoa, Italy. UC Sampdoria translates to Unione Calcio Sampdoria and its nickname is Blucerchiati. Their team symbol comprises of red-black-blue-white colours incorporated into a single design. The club was formed by the merging of two already existing clubs Sampierdarenese and Andrea Doria way back in 1946. The red-black and white-blue combination actually represents the merging of the two teams.

Home Stadium:
     The Sampdoria club has its home stadium in Stadio Luigi Ferraris,Genoa, Italy. This stadium is also referred to as Marassi; erlier this place was a private property and was converted to a stadium in the year 1909 and its name is erived from the former player and captain of Genoa, Luigi Ferraris. It can house a population of 36,536. It was renovated in the year 1989 for the 1990 World Cup. Deepdale (home of Preston North End FC) was inspired by this stadium’s structure.

Association:
     The UC Sampdoria club is governed and organised by the Italian Football Federation or the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio. It was established in the year 1898, received FIFA affiliation in 1905 and UEFA affiliation in 1954. The President of the association is Giancarlo Abete.

Manager:
    Walter Mazzarri is the current club manager; he was born in the year 1961, October 1st. he was named the coach of Sampdoria in the year 2007, May 31st.  

Trophies & Titles: The Sampadorians have won the Scudetto once in the past, in the year 1991.
