The current manager and head coach of Unione Sportiva Grosseto FC is Stefano Pioli. He is a former Italian football player who played for many Italian clubs like Juventus and Parma as a centre back. He retired from professional football in 1998 and started his coaching career in 1999-2000 season in youth team of Bologna football club. He was appointed as the head coach of the Unione Sportiva Grosseto football club in 2007. Previously he had impressed everyone when he coached Tuscan minnows. It was announced that for 2008-2009 season he will join Piacenza as a head coach for the Serie B.
